The U.S. Green Building Council’s Central Plains Chapter is taking a leading role in building sustainability into our beautiful city. The Chapter is a non-profit 501c3 supporting the Kansas City Metro Area, the state of Kansas, and western Missouri. With ongoing green projects in the Green Impact Zone, green jobs training in the urban core, Greensburg and even New Orleans we do a great deal of community service work, primarily supported by our corporate sponsors. We are deeply appreciative to our sponsors that make this important environmental leadership and environmental justice work possible with your support. We are working continually to ensure our sponsorship partnerships are mutually beneficial both to the people we serve, and the corporate sponsors who make it possible. In order to generate revenue and loyalty for our sponsors we proudly display their logos on our website; putting their name in front of our 400+ local members and thousands who visit our website regularly. We currently have over 400 local members and are growing constantly. Our website is a go-to source of information about green events in the city and we offer professional training programs taught by local experts as well as official LEED training taught by national USGBC faculty. Our sponsors enjoy a 50% discounted rate for all their employees on our local training programs (excluding national LEED workshops which prices are set by the national organization).
