The Emerging Professionals (EP) is a Committee of the USGBC Central Plains Chapter and consists of students and young professionals in the building industry (planning, architecture, engineering, construction, design, etc.) looking for networking and volunteer opportunities in the Kansas City area. We share a common vision of promoting the green building movement and its future leaders through education, communication and integration.
Full time students carrying 12 hours of credit or more, and college graduates up to the age of 25 are eligible for membership and participation in EP for an annual membership rate of $25. Student chapters at regional colleges and universities engage in design projects utilizing cutting edge sustainability ideas. EP is the "youth group" of the USGBC Central Plains Chapter - energizing the group by applying their planning and design skills to hosting social events enjoyed by all. The Progressive Soiree, annual networking event and chapter holiday party draw hundreds of "green" revelers.
Planning (officers) meeting is the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:15 a.m. at the First Watch in Fairway. Please check with the
